Former US Military leaders have called on the Bush Administration to make major cuts in greenhouse gas emmisions.

a good place to start is aircraft fuel...the government found out is the 70s that hydrogen will power a turbine engine as well as petroleum, but without the worry of dependence on foreign oil.

why was the plan scrapped? logistics, and the OPEC embargo ended.

I dont know about America,but the 'green' issue is being used as an excse to tax the hell out of people.
Car Fuel Tax is going thru the roof.
If you fly,theres xtra tax on that.
Dont see any iol company or power companys getting screwed tho.

Yes...it is a conspiracy by petroleum companies to get rid of competition...get these greenies and hippies behind environmental groups to lobby the government to maintain their monopoly by not allowing the building of new refineries and constrict supply...also the uneconomical production of bio fuels...which guess what? Cost 2-4 times more, even use fossil fuels in their production and still produce CO2
