In Mideast, Some Find Barbie Threatening
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Saudi Arabia's religious police have declared Barbie dolls a threat to morality, complaining that the revealing clothes of the "Jewish" toy - already banned in the kingdom - are offensive to Islam.
" ... "Jewish Barbie dolls, with their revealing clothes and shameful postures, accessories and tools are a symbol of decadence to the perverted West. Let us beware of her dangers and be careful," said a message posted on the site. ...
Speaking to The Associated Press by telephone from the holy city of Medina, he claimed that Barbie was modeled after a real-life Jewish woman.
"It is no problem that little girls play with dolls. But these dolls should not have the developed body of a woman and wear revealing clothes," al-Merdas said.
"These revealing clothes will be imprinted in their minds and they will refuse to wear the clothes we are used to as Muslims." ....."

Saudi Arabia is sure one of the most intolerant countries in the world, and the women's condition there is a shame.
I just saw their airports, and I was impressed by the toilet signs. On the door for men, there was not the usual schematised man, but just a head with a mustache. And for women ? As they are supposed to wear a veil, it was just… a black square. Very nice !

Klaus Barbie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Barbie) most certainly was NOT Jewish.
(Anyone watch the move Rat Race about a year ago?)

Yes, but the merchandising crowd are not going to be pleased if Barbie has only one outfit-makes it really expensive(if it wasn't already) to buy another Barbie when she feels like a change of clothes.
Come on now... we're talking about muslim barbie... as if she'd be allowed to wear anything else aside from a burqa.
I'll meet you half way. She comes with a plastic burqa, and a couple different colored paints. ;)

Just remember that Muslim Barbie is required to walk 5 paces in front of Ken ali-babba muhammed so she can be the first to discover land mines.
What colors would you paint her, Age?
