The line also known as Apollo/St.Michael runs thru Skellig Michael-St.Michaels Mount-Mont St.Michel-Bourges-Perugia-Monte Gargano-Delphi-Athens-Delos.
All these places with importance in early Christianity, and in mythology Skellig Michael is mentioned before the arrival of St.Patrick.
It has been suggested this is an energy line in the Earth, any ideas.

2 Kings 2:
23) From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24) He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two she bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. 25) And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.

Below is a site that shows major religious sites of the world. You will notice how many are located in Europe. By picking some sites and not picking others it is possible to make many straight lines. Are all these straight lines energy sites or are they just random connecting of dots on a map?

As you know Frogger, many many Christian holy places in Europe are built upon sites that pagans used for worship, so there must be something in it.

Paul, just look at the number of sites in Europe. I could draw ten or twelve different straight lines going through religious sites at the very least. I can also construt straight lines in South America, India, from Ethiopia to Saudi Arabia from Ireland to Finland and even from Africa right up to Northern Europe. When you have that many dots it is easy to connect them in any way you wish. You could probably connect them in the shape of a question mark and say that proves that religion is questionable, or in the shape of an exclamation point saying that proves religion is definitely real and important.

As regards Skellig Michael yea you can draw lines from it to nearly anywhere in Europe, its probably more a case of isolation and hardship than anything else.Penance.
Tho there is many places that Irish people hold special and mystical, and have done so since before the Christians arrived,I guess its a question of whether you believe or not,Faith.

Welcome to the world of ley lines. Are they lines of energy known to the ancients and used by the old religions and then taken over by the new religions, or are they just fantasy?

Wouldnl't it be more probable that religious sites were placed near travel routes rather than travel routes were created to connect religious sites or sites of cosmic energy?
When travel was on foot people would tend to attempt to travel the shortest distance possible to get from point A to point B. As more and more people traveled these straight routes it would be convenient to place churches, temples, shrines, etc. along these routes. Suddenly you have a series of religious sites connected in a straight line.

It is possible and probable in a lot of cases, tho a lot of the oldset religious sites are in what are now remote locations.Whether these locations had more significance hundreds and sometimes thousands of years ago,I dont know.

Do people on foot tend to travel the shortest distance or the easiest distance?
Regardless, why should they travel in such continuous long lines? I assume travel would be between villages. Such villages would be located in an optimum location to farm, hunt, fish or whatever. It seems unlikely that the villages would be lined up in straight lines.
