I hope that wasn't intended to be a subtle jab - because I totally agree with you. We have nothing else....except the winniest basketball program in the history of the sport.

We are not wacked. Well there are some of us that are....but most of us expect excellence from our teams. Its the same way with the Yankees and the Alabama and Notre Dame football programs.

Tubby Smith did not go to a final four his entire career with UK. He did go the first year he was there - when he bought himself a championship ring with Pitino's players. From there on, it was strait down hill. We went from a perenial number 1 seed who was always in the hunt - to two years as a #8 seed (both years highly overseeded)

Tubby doesnt play the style of basketball that we like here. Kentucky appreciates high potent offense with a full court attack, not the grinding defense coupled with slowly walking the ball up into a 7-pass offense. It's boring and hasnt proven to win.

We wanted him gone. Minnesota will be better for having them. They wont care if he loses 10 games a year up there or probably even 20.

We dont expect our coaches to go to the final four every year, or every 3 years. Just more than once in a decade. And Kentucky should never go into a game expecting to lose. A loss should be a surprise to all of us. The last few years, Kentucky was picked to lose about every freaken game.

We were horrible. Now it's time to get back on the mountain top.

Like I said - we don't expect to be a dynasty. Kentucky is and should continue to be one of the megapowers of college basketball. As long as they are in the hunt - we're ok. They do need more than one final four a decade though, that's for sure.
