I am still fairly new to the message board so please bare with me

I do have a question, tho, that maybe someone could help me with.....

What happened to Romance?
I know some of you will say it left when the "women's movement" came. A strong woman is fine, I consider myself a "strong" woman, I can change my own oil, tire and ect. on my own car (which is my baby) I can open a jar if need be, I have had to do it for yrs with no help.
Just the same I do like to be wined and dined, having a candle lit dinner with soft music to me is WONDERFUL! Renting a movie and just cuddling on the couch is also terrific. Taking a long walk hand in hand with your significant other, to me that is romantic.

Just curious y'all...:confused:

I think maybe the woman sometimes needs get it started. Maybe you can show that you like romance by doing something romantic. I think romance is very much alive. You just have to make it happen.

Look, I got rather pissed at a statement such as what stayathomemom said. I was already kinda pissed at her for posting the begging spam, and to boot I didn't have too good of a day yesterday. In other words, I was in a bad mood. So I got pissed and wrote stuff I probably wouldn't have written had I read that, say, today. I won't apologize for it, but I was a bit more extreme than I should have been.

And yes, I am above criticism. That's why I delete all the posts that criticize me. Give me a break. :rolleyes:

i think there is still romance in the world. some men were born with it and the others need a little training. my husband for example is a heavy equipment operator. he hangs with the big boys all day driving an earth mover. once he gets home i depig him. once this occurs he can be very romantic.

Romance is not gone. People just tend to take the world to seriously. Sometimes we get too caught up in the I's and me's and forget the things that make another feel good about themselves.

pay attention people, a moderator is or was in a verbal battle with one of "us". I feel an urge to start yelling "Jerry, Jerry!" :)
