You can't tell me the sound of the gear-driven cams in the F-360 (and 575) aren't music to your ears. The supercharger whine of the E-55 AMG Benz is spectacular, and the slide the M-5 undergoes 35 seconds into the video is simply amazing. 5 liters and 10 cylinders generating 500 normally aspirated bhp @ 8,200 RPM is nothing short of astonishing.
God, I love toys.

That is the one you want, worlds fastest production car c/o Bugatti. 407km/hr, thats like, 250mph.

I know plenty about it already; 4 turbochargers and 16 cylinders (in a "W" configuration, no less) amounts to trouble in any language :). Supposedly, it tops out after it's aero-metamorphosis at 252 mph. It was designed by Volkswagen (how's that for a kick in the pants...?).
My dad's best friend just got a Bentley GT and I tease him for the same reason. I always greet him with a "Hey, Vince - how's the VW treating you?"

Both are great vid, but I'm with Phyrex - that Bugatti top end run is more appealing. Fastest I've driven was 165 mph (275 kp/h), in a new 1985 BMW M 635 CSi and that was on the Autobahn.

That's excellent, Es. Unfortunately, as of recently, all BMW M cars have all been electronically limited to 155 mph. My brother drives a 2004 E-46 BMW M3, and I've driven it north of 140 mph on several occasions. It never ceases to be a rush. He's placed an order for a new E-92 M3, and I can't wait to get my hands on it...420 bhp, 8 cylinders, and an 8,250 RPM redline guarantees it'll be plenty of fun. Hell, I love my brother's current M3.

I had a v8 89 Camaro in top condition when I was 16-19 years old. The speedometer said it went 140, i never passed 130 however. My girlfried also had a totally suped up Integra. It went like 150+ It was rediculous. She ended up crashing into the back of a truck at about 40mph and totaling it though, she was ok thank god lol. Surprised I even lived through those days.

I was stationed in Germany at the time & had 2 BMWs while there, a 735i auto, for me and a 528i 4-spd for the wife. The 7 had a top end of 145 or so, would run all day at 130+. The 5 didn't have the top end, but would get there a whole lot quicker. I had the M635CSi for a week while the 7 was in being serviced.

Well, you'll never be able to drive that way or that speed legally, so all those are basically wastes of money.
And even if driving laws were different, they'd be still be freakishly overpriced.

Though if I was rich I'd probably buy "merely" a Lexus of some sort.

For someone who claims to be tolerant you are remarkably intolerant. Prae likes cars. This seems to be a view you do not tolerate very easily. Not everyone shares your likes and dislikes, you know.

I like toys too, but if I am rich I'd be more inclined to kick it back in the tropics, boat and fish, play some chess on the beach, flirt with girls-on-vacation, and go to good shows. Eat eat and eat. And eat. Different ideas of fun I suppose.

What money buys is freedom to do what one wants without having to worry about making a living. I think that kind of freedom would be popular with almost anyone. I would spend my time traveling and enjoying as many of the experiences the world has to offer as I could.
