First off, let me say that i am an avid sports enthusiast. But I am getting sick and tired of these spoiled ass bratty rich kids getting to do and say as they please. Do any of you doubt what would have happened to "normal" people had they done what this spoiled ass athlete did?

First of all, they would have followed us until hell froze over, doing everything in their power to make us pull over. Secondly, they would have demanded we exit the car while pointing handguns at our heads. And finally, if no cameras were present while they were handcuffing us im sure they would find an excuse for us "resisting" arrest, therefore giving them reason to do the "la cucaracha" on our foreheads.

Then after being taken to jail, they would have proceeded to throw everything in the book at us. Last i heard, evading the police was a felony. But they didnt charge this guy with it. Simply speeding and failure to comply with a policeman. 52 in a 25? Isnt that reckless driving? He wasnt charged with it.

What it comes down to is who knows who, and who is rich and famous, or who is rich or who is famous. The common Joe Blow pays the fine while the Famous Joe Bob gets off scott free.

Havok for what it is worth if I were a cop and caught you speeding I'ld let you off the hook because your the famous Havok on Allforums :D

I, too, am disgusted by the way the law seems to bypass celebrities. This doesn't seem to be a problem restricted to sports, though. Anyone remember the Halle Berry incident a few years ago when she hit and ran someone while alegedly drunk? I don't remember what she got, but it was a slap on the wrist. I wonder what would happen if you or I did that.

Ask Teddy Kennedy, or OJ, how nice it is to be rich & famous.

Very true ES. Murder is not a crime in this country if you are rich enough. Simply buy your way out of it.
