Georgian helicopter had been brought down over Kodor gorge. Three good guys died because they occurred to be in wrong time in the wrong place.
Now Georgia is one of the most poverty-stricken countries. People are discontented by government’s social policy. Burst of people’s anger is coming to a head. And of course Saakashvili fears much of new “Rose revolution”. So he uses tried ways to calm common Georgians down. That’s enough just to find external foe for distracting attention from inner hard crisis of economics, of education, of national minorities and many other fields of life. It’s far more simple than to do real work to improve things.
Georgian people don’t like much idea of war against their good neighbors living in autonomies. So Georgian authorities commit provocations in debatable territories of autonomies and blame Russians in all incidents. Very convenient for killing two birds at once: provoke Russians to ripostes and incite Georgians against autonomies reducing tension inside Georgian society.
At the same time they’re extremely unscrupulous and don’t spare even lives of their own people. And this is allegedly democratic country that pretends to be European one and aspires for EU membership!
