Chrysler is to recall almost half a million vehicles-the second recall by the company in two weeks.

minor recalls are actually quite common....it's things that start engine fires that you have to worry about (Ford's problems with it's ignition coils comes to mind):(

Chrysler & Dodge are going away. Maybe the trucks will survive. One can only hope that Jeep will be bought by somebody or some corporation willing to keep the name alive. MOPAR won't go away quickly, but like DeSoto and Plymouth, the names will fade into history.

I remember a few years ago there was a major outcry about some pick up model that had an exposed petrol tank 'gas tank', that seemed to catch fire if the vehicle was hit from the side, wasnt there a crash were a couple of kids were killed?

that would have been Chevy & GMC pickup with side-saddle fuel tanks. for some reason, that story just went away after Dateline NBC did a story about them and got caught using a model rocket engine to "help" the tank ignite during a demo:rolleyes:
