That's factually incorrect. The lowest age of consent for any state is 12 or 14. You need to at laws in the southwestern U.S....New Mexico and Utah are among the lowest ages of consent I believe.

I do not know why this teacher, or any teacher, would sleep with 14 year olds because it varies from case to case. It is none of my business, either.

Evak, you're correct in that laws have changed quite a bit, so my original post based on my last view of the law was somewhat out of date.

Lowest age of consent to have sexual intercourse with an adult is 14 for females in South Carolina and Hawaii. However, other states allow younger ages to consent to sex with someone within a certain age range....for example, in Tenn, a 13 year old can consent to having sex with anyone up to 4 years older than his/her self.

People are capable of and desire to have sex earlier than that, and likely follow through with that capabilitiy and desire.
