That should be the preferred install method for most of the software out there.

I've heard very good things about Vista...and I've heard very bad things abotu Vista. I haven't messed with the system yet myself.

It's bad enough that Vista does require a high powered computer and that it's mega expensive and it comes in these hobbled releases unless you shell out big buck for the ultimate version, the worst is that in order to run Vista, you have to agree that you will allow Microsoft to periodically check your computer to make sure Vista has been authorized to run on your machine and that Microsoft can scan your computer and delete any software it doesn't like (I read that somewhere, I just wish I knew where it was at, dammit.) This is entirely the wrong path for Microsoft to take, dammit.

So for all of the so called advancements. . . Microsoft is still being Microsoft. Nice to know nothing has changed.
