I just saw Freddy Vs Jason last night. It met expectations and also surpassed some. The stories were intertwined very nicely, the acting wasn't too bad, the special effects were great, and Freddy was hilarious. My favorite line was: one of the guys was talking about Jason," Damn, some one really pissed off that goalie." It obviously won't win an awards or nominations, but it was fun to watch, and, best of all, you didn't need to have seen the others in the series to understand it. Everything is explained to you in the very beginning and spread throughout the movie. See it definitely, and watch out for a twist of an ending!!!!!!

I quess I'll wait till it hits the TV in a couple of years and watch the last 15 minutes. I've gotten older and don't find these types of movies that interesting anymore. I was just curious because I grew up with Fri. the 13th movies. The first couple were OK but as time went on they started getting stupid. It is just like Halloween, the first one was some what scarry then they got stupid as they went on. Nightmare on elm street, I always thought was stupid part 2 was a total bomb. The scary movies that I like have atleast an ounce of realizm, example Cape Fear, The Vanishing, etc...

Jason was somewhat realistic... Here in Illinois too! Crystal Lake is like 20 minutes from me! Can't wait to scare the kids with this one when they're bad ;)

Bah, niether wins I'm sure. I'd be very surprised if Hollywood committed to turning one of its big money makers into a loser.

I REALLY loved the movie a lot, and except for location, I got to admit, realism is something you GOTTA suspend if you want to get any enjoyment out of it. To answer your questions, even though half of you probably already saw it, the answer is neither of them wins. After Freddy is decapitated by the heroine, Jason comes out of the water carrying Freddy's head. Freddy then suddenly looks at you and winks. There's gonna be another movie. Why else would he do that. By the way, I LOVED it when the first guy was stabbed because he was a COMPLETE asswipe to the girl after they made love.

So I guess we can expect more sequels. Oh, joy! Seriously, couldn't they die for real just one time?:)
