Thanks to George Bush, America can now be afraid, very afraid, again! His poll numbers are headed south and we all know something will happen to scare the bejeezus out of us, all in an attempt to inflate his ego again. Seems mighty suspicious to me that every time he drops in the polls Americans have to suffer some kind of tragedy in order to send his numbers up!

Americans should begin to question the reason why so many "career" government workers are resigning after years of service and giving up their livelihood? They've been there with the good and the bad, through many administrations, only to resign now?! These are people who have devoted their lives to government service jobs, paying less than the private sector, in order to make a difference. So, what and who would be the impetus for their resignations? Could it be, could it possibly be, that this is the worst president and the worst administration in the history of these United States?

Who threw the switch? A natural occurrence that hasn't happened in more than 30 years, just at a time when the Bush poll numbers are headed south! A boon for mainstream media: 24 hours of blackout! Just how many ways can you say, "There is no evidence of terrorism (indicating the possibility that it may be, in order to scare the bejeezus out of us), but the lights are off in many major cities in the Northeast"? Just how long can they drag this out and make it the breaking news story?

You may all wish to think about reading that Blue Gold book by Clarke and Barlow - I mentioned before. This outage is just the beginning folks.

Esfan , I am doing the best I can trying to help you people understand what the RE has kept you from learning while they steadily work away at eroding our Constitutional rights, and freedoms. I don't much care if you or any one wants to take cheap pot shots at me, because I am in a position to know far more than most of you are willing to even contemplate.
It is not unthinkable to accept that people who already possesed considerable wealth and power, might just have reason to decide that if they joined forces and worked together to help and protect one another, they could concievably end up owning the planet. Which, wether you care to accept it or not, is already a done deal. And as time marches on you WILL see more and more signs of that emerging.
Have you even heard of the Bilderbergs?

That is precisely what I do not like in conspiracy theories. Every event has to be part of it. The whole word becomes a gigantic puzzle - and it is always possible to find a way of making every part of it fit into the theory.
I do know the Bilderbergs. I have no sympathy for this "world elite" meetings. But I do not believe that they "rule" the world by plotting vast and mischievous plans like a major black out.
I just think that they all agree on a basic ideology : conservatism, capitalism. And that this ideology is responsible of many problems of the world, like deregulation of public goods like the production of energy, sometimes causing catastrophes like this one. Or fueling anger against the rich countries and terrorism.
Under 'Paranoid' in the dictionary, is a picture of Willow.

Must be an interesting position. Be sure to call for help when you fall off your high-horse and smack your head on reality.
Have a great day.

Deregulation had nothing to do with this. The main reason the power grid in the U.S. is so precarious in some areas is because environmentalists block or delay every attempt to build another power plant or transmission line in court.

Are you on some type of medication, Willow? If not, I think you should be.

I’m curious: just what “position” is this? Are you part of the CIA or FBI?

Environmentalists caused the power outage... We are the TRUE secret organization planning world domination! It's a perfect cover... We LOOK like we are trying to SAVE the planet, but really through these hundreds of world-wide organizations (which I like to call "cells") we set about our evil designs of total world power! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
pssst... don't tell anyone. I could get in big trouble...

I didn't mean to imply a direct link between the environmentalists and the power outage, but it's definitely hard to upgrade the grid when the hard core environmentalists are out there taking a hard-line no expansion policy. Of course you also have the "not in my backyard" types who want all of the modern conveniences of life as long as they're not disadvantaged in any way.

Environmentalists? Capitalists? Conspirators? Geez. This is so typical of our society. Look for someone to blame for a freak accident.

Hey, I'm all for personal responsibility, but I'm struggling to find a connection with anything I did here. But we should look ahead, right? Lets build some nuclear plants and run some more power lines.

Who turned out the lights.......... Damn just stubbed my freaking toe, damn government always out to get me. I new they where trying to take over(the world) but instead of using weapons they just turned out the lights. Everyone was suppose to stub there toes and hit there heads, when they came too they were going to be brainwashed. It didn't work though because the lights went out before dark. I bet they(government) are going to stop up our toilets next. That way the government won't be the only ones full of SH** he he ha ha.
Seriously the problem with the power up here is that it is a monopoly set by the supplier. A couple of years ago there was a power company that tried to move in and split up the consumers but Nyseg had a cow and stopped the whole deal. If they had come in our electric bills would have went down and if NYSEG wanted to stay in business they would have had to become competitive. LionelHutz is correct when he says the system is outdated, the power company's keep saying there is no problem BULLSH** We (Northern NY) loose power atleast 5 times a year usually alot more, because of old outdated junk.

I'm for that, let's revelop nuclear power.

I'm struggling to find a definition for "...revelop....".
Sure, let's build more nuke plants. Sounds great to me. New Jersey needs a few dozen, there's probably some space in Utah as well. The Moron church won't mind a few there in SLC, as long as they get their 10% of the waste.
