3-iron=by whom.....can't read Korean writing sorry..
This was a subtitle Korean film..It is rather different and there is hardly and talking in the movie but it is also very powerful. I wanted to stop watching it a few times but it kept me watching to the very end. Just the one I watched last night.
Let see what everyone else might be popping in and watching.

I watched Philadelphia last sunday, none yesterday.
A friend of mine told me about this one some time ago when we were discussing Brokeback Mountain. Oooopppsss, I'm not so-so into gay flicks. I rather go for whatever that suits my mood-anywhere from light to heavy, comedy to action, suspense and mystery thrillers too, but not so much into Horror.
Any interesting war movies to suggest?

Oldboy is the best thing ever to come out of Korean cinema. If you have to, sacrifice three goats and your firstborn child to see this movie.
Poor Dwayne. You'll be missed, but the movie was worth it.
Any interesting war movies to suggest?
Midway (older movie)
Private Ryan (newer movie) I found the final scene very powerful, standing over the grave of the man that saved his life. "Am I a good man? Tell me I'm a good man". What must it be like, to know someone sacrificed himself for you? That would be hard to handle, I think.
How about Westerns?
Hangem' High.
Outlaw Josy Wales.
Unforgiven.
Anything with the Duke. (John Wayne)
What was the movie Clint Eastwood movie where he played a preacher and traded his collar for a set of six-guns. What was the movie with Saron Stone being a gunslinger in a quick-draw competition? I liked both of those also.

"Capote" was superb I thought.
Of course, "In Cold Blood" is a book I consider a masterpiece and one I'm pretty familiar with.
It was chilling the way the movie depicted how Truman let Smith and Hickock hang without doing much to save them--deliberately using them and befriending them in order to make his story better.
Yet what else could he have done, and never did a crime more deserve a capital sentence than that one.
In truth, there were 7 victims of that crime--the Clutters, Hickock, Smith, and Capote. Writing that book literally destroyed him.

I watched Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang the other week. Don't remember exactly when in the past few weeks. But it was a pretty amazing movie, hilarious and yet meaningful. Sypnosis
DEVIL HUNTERS (1989) is a convoluted Hong Kong crime thriller with enough kung fu, shootouts, explosions and gratuitous sadism to keep most jaded HK action fans satisfied. It deals with the efforts of a host of characters to bring down a Hong Kong drug lord. Not only are the cops after him, but so are a bunch of other people with grudges, including Abby, a mysterious kung fu-fighting young woman (Moon Lee). The drug boss's own lieutenant, Shing, played in wonderfully snaky fashion by popular HK villain Francis Ng, is also out to topple him. The poor man hasn't got a friend in the world until Abby hides him from the others and outlines her demands. But then Shing gets into the act and paves the way for a massive final confrontation involving all concerned parties. In addition to Moon Lee and Francis Ng, other familiar players in the large cast include another fighting femme, Sibelle Hu (HARD TO DIE, CHINA HEAT), Ken Lo (DRUNKEN MASTER II), and Raymond Lui (LORD OF THE EAST CHINA SEA).
The film is notorious for its final stunt, in which the stunt players for the three leads are caught in a premature explosion and catch fire just as they leap out of the building. The film exploits this accident by replaying it at the very end in slow motion, telling us what happened and including a closing sentiment wishing the injured parties a speedy recovery!

Just watched The Prestige, with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale.
It was a really good story but Christian Bale seemed like he was trying to do the Batman voice through the whole movie. His character was supposed to be British and he would occasionally lapse into a terrible attempt at a British accent, almost like he was joking, and then he would go back to his husky batman voice. And Hugh Jackman, who in reality has an Australian accent, was going back and forth between a weak British and American sounding accent, even though he was also supposed to be British.

And one thing that gets my attention is the explotion of the Julien Temple documentary film Joe Strummer:The Future is Unwritten...
Strummer's voice was the Clash's voice,London Calling was on of the hittest album of them.. A combination of joyous energy and tight playin, it stands outside its time as none of the other Clash albums do. With tunes like the dealer indictment "Hateful", it was a very anti-drug album. "'London Calling' is peppered with anti-drug lines...Those who had the Clash filed under "political rock" assumed "Koka Kola" was an indictment of capitalist mutil-nationals. Fooled ya. Fun to watch a drama or even a documentary film... I watched the Sandra Bullock's drama story, and it was so romantic and touching film...
More curious to know the another controversial documentary film of Julien Temple title...The Future is Unwritte.
The Future is Unwritten," Julien Temple's new film on the life and career of late Clash frontman Joe Strummer, the film includes interviews with such Strummer disciples as Bono, actors Johnny Depp and John Cusack, members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Clash, old friends and those who squatted with him in condemned buildings in London before the Clash took off.
Also featured is unseen footage of Strummer's early life, as well as unearthed clips of the Clash and the Mescaleros, the band he fronted in the years prior to his 2002 death..
"The Future is Unwritten" finds Strummer "very much narrating and DJing his life story," says Temple, renown for his Sex Pistols movie "The Filth and the Fury."
Ijust saw Clerks II for the first time. Laughed my ass off.

Another awaiting documentary film this year by Julien Temple...Joe Strummer: "The Future is Unwritten".....Temple's documentary utilizes an enormous amount of archival footage, personal interviews, news interviews, vintage photos, audio recordings and footage that he himself had been filming since 1976. Then I watched Ong Bak..This was simplistic but omg could that boy move.
What the story line lacked the action made up for.
I just got done watching 'Happy Feet' with Sammy. It was pretty good.

good show and lots of laughs and tears in this one.
I think I need to take time and switch to some comedies.
I need to lighten up a bit.

Theres a tv series that you can get on DVD now called 'Father Ted'
check it out. If you need a laugh, this is it.
Some other unknowns.
If you seen and liked 'The Commitments',
its part of a trilogy,
the other 2 are, 'Snapper' and 'The Van', bit old now but good fun.

I watched a movie called Leon ( the directors cut)
Miss sheila said it was a must see movie and she was right.
Riveting from start to finish.
Just finished viewing Flags of our Fathers.
I found it to be a compelling story of how these young men were traumatized by a horrible experience no one should have to endure, both on the battlefield and at home.

"300" is a must see, especially for females. Not only is the plot good but the actors have incredible bodies!!! I'll watch that movie everyday before I go to bed.

Haven't been to the movies lately but i can't wait to see Knocked Up :P The preview was quite entertaining and it reminds me a lot of 40 year-old virgin. If you feel like amusing yourself, check out the baby generator site (http://www.knockedupbabymaker.com/), some of the combinations are hilarious :P

I just recently started watching Babylon 5 and i'm actually liking it a lot :P I made my way over to the official babylon5.com site and there's a 'Lost Tales' DVD coming out so i can't wait to watch that.
While i look forward to that, i just watched 'The Mad' last night...insanely funny and horrible at the same time. But it was...'entertaining' :P It stars Billy Zane, enough said :)

My wife and I went to see Knocked Up on Saturday. It's a pretty good movie and Heigel is a talented comic actress.
It was a comedy but it had a real serious aspect to it. The scenes where they showed her gaping vagina with the baby's head crowning were a bit more than I expected.
