i am asking for people all over to take july 1st to the morning of july 5th off. walk away. do nothing. do not buy anything. do not use petrol or electricity. just walk away for a few days.

this is in recognition of how developed nations use up so much and waste so much in the way of energy, pollution, and power, and food. walk away. i promise it won't kill you. i've sat in one spot for 4 days and nights and only drank half a liter of water and i was fine. this time i will be doing a walkabout, keep moving and such. so i will be eating and drinking water. but not much else.

Most of what we (over) use is energy and clean water. Do you disconnect the electricity and water mains from your house during that time period? Do you let the food in your refrigerator rot? If so, what do you feed your kids during those days? Do you refrain from washing anything? Do you leave the baby in the same old diaper the whole time, so as not to use up any disposables, or create a need to wash the cloth ones? Do you take leave from work so you don't have to use transportation? Etc., etc.

This might be a good idea, but it seems like it would only be doable for people that have no responsibilities anyway. Can you offer some suggestions for everybody else?
