According to this:
http://www.abqtrib.com/news/2007/jan/09/commentary-president-bush-v-polar-bears/
The artical is a trashy bushwack piece; however, read the comments below it. I just wish I could find some objective material on the subject.
For some reason, I just don't trust Al Gore or Exxon to give me reliable information...

The artical is a trashy bushwack piece;
I cannot fathom how anyone would characterize the article as "trashy".
Could you explain that criticism?!?
As to it being a *bushwack piece".................what the?!?!
Name anything you see in the piece that you perceive of being unfair to Bush or overly critical of him. I want you to explain to me how this piece could be called *a bushwack*.
however, read the comments below it.
I did.
Overall they were fairly thoughtful and rational, but get a load of the malarkey this guy posted....
"".....the same can be said for Al Gore and "an inconvenient truth" or, for that matter, anybody who is a die-hard environmentalist. There's an agenda. And I maintain that that agenda is to prop up global warming as a scare tool to justify carbon taxes and gasoline taxes. And to drum up support for the kyoto treaty which, if you read it in depth, is nothing more than a massive re-distribution of wealth tool.________Posted by sambo4""
Riiiiight, you fucking genuis sambo 4.
Global warming is simply a "scare tool". The reason the world's leading scientists are overwhelmingly convinced that global warming is real is NOT because decades of research all around the globe shows that it's taking place, but instead these smarty-pants scientist fellers are pushing it because they are deviously conspiring to "impose carbon taxes and gasoline taxes", and because they have this maniacal agenda for the "redistribution of wealth". [/sarcasm]
It's hard to believe that people that ignorant can figure out how to turn a computer on and find a website.

Polar bears are over-rated as a species anyway.
Every polar bear I ever met was mean as shit, and they'd just as soon eat you as look at you. Good riddance I say.
PS Polar bear meat make really good jerky, but they say to shy away from the liver and sweetbreads. Too much Vitamin A, and it'll kill you if you eat it.

LMAO Tht's funny
And who said animals cant go extinct anymore anyway? Millions of species have died out over the past billion years. Suddenly humans have the responsibility to make sure no species die out, ever? Extinction is part of life. The world would be a crowded place if species never died out.

I would not posit that Bush has actively set out to expressly "kill Iraqi babies"........but there is NO denying that he DID set events into motion (i.e.,the illegal, ill-conceived, unprovoked Iraq war) which had a 100% certainty of causing Iraqi babies to be killed.

While certain events may have transpired... i think we can agree that it wasn't our INTENT to "kill iraqi babies"... so the fact that you are trying to connect the two in such a way is insane.
Now, if you were to word it that we could and can do more to PREVENT more Iraqi children deaths... THAT would be a more intelligent and sane way to look at it, and i'd agree with you. But listening to you blame bush directly for the Iraqi children deaths, and making it seem like we purposely kill children is laughable...

Agreed. Even Conservatives realize that we are much less safe today because of what Bush and the Republicans have done.
Pat Robertson is playing into that with his prediction of a nuclear attack on America sometime this year.
Of course, if it does happen, Republicans will try to blame it all on the Democrats.

China and India have more people than we do. While I believe they burn more fossil fuels total, I don't believe they burn more per capita, especially because the vast majority of the Chinese and probably the Indians are poor, and probably don't have big gas guzzling SUVs or gigantic air conditioned houses.
If I'm wrong, well by all means find some statistics to prove me wrong.

Regardless if you don't see the average Muslim as a "camel jockey" or average black person as a "nigger", it offends either way. You offend average Muslims by calling rhe president of Iran a "camel jockey" and you offend blacks when you call the head of the Nation of Islam a "nigger." Even if they are deserving of the insults, it's offensive to people of that group. In all honesty though, if I knew you were joking, I would not have taken offense to that as much as I did. I've been called worse by friends and it doesn't bother me a bit. I work in a mall, and I do it all the time with employees and other people who work in the mall.
