What are the Dems really going to do?

IF and when enough of the country are convinced that Iraq is lost, then they can push to cut funding for the Iraq war, impeach Bush or get aggressive for troops to be pulled out, THAT is what they'll do. Otherwise, they'll just sit on the fence, dammit. While the dailykos, moveon.org, democratunderground and various other 527 groups (not to mention our "mainstream media which everyone by diehard lefties accuse of being biased toward the Left) did yeoman's work in getting the Dems into power, the Democrats are well aware that they are going to need mainstream voters to stay there. So, the dems will obey what the consider the majority, it's called being moderate, dammit.

There goes Darth, calling it like it is.

What are the Dems really going to do?

Same thing they've always done.

Support the status quo. Wave their flags and praise Jeezus. Continue to protect the interests of their corporate masters.

Continue to fail to stand up to the Republicans on those issues, like the minimum wage, national health care, protecting and conserving the environment, that would benefit the People.

Continue to go along with illegal and ill conceived wars of aggression abroad. And basically just bend over and take it up the ass from the Republicans.

The US war with Iraq was the product, not of faulty intelligence, but of a colossal failure of American democracy. The Bush administration deliberately instigated a war of aggression. The ever-subservient-to-the-GOP mainstream Media eagerly parroted the administration’s lies and portrayed Iraq as a deadly threat to the American people. Congress passed a war resolution giving Bush blank-check authority to launch the war, with most leading Democrats supporting it.

We're just so closed off to the rest of the world. This just in: Washington doesn't care what we think.
