This is my view of Eminem. I'm a little biased because I am white, I love rap, I'm a sucker for great lyricism, and I have been desensitized to controversial lyrics. That being said, I think Eminem is one of the best rappers out there, if not the best. With all due respect to Biggie and Pac, Eminem is better in two - and more - senses. He can make multiplatinum cds without using one mention of the "n" word, while Biggie and Pac reached the climax of their fame after their deaths, Em has become popular already and he still has a LONG way to go. Think of all the hit songs he has: The Real Slim Shady, My Name Is, Guilty Conscience, Stan, Marshall Mathers, The Way I Am, Kim, Criminal, Lose Yourself, White America, Cleanin out my Closet, Without Me, Purple Pills, must I go on. Not many rappers could come up with that many hit singles. Also, HE'S WHITE!!!!! Most hit songs are from black rappers. He is able to make all of these songs, and he isn't even black. Also, even though he grew up in a shitty lifestyle, he still has a shit load of pride. He can turn his past into summaries of great songs (his last freestyle in 8 mile - no rhyme intended) He can turn ALL of the disses against him into more poetic verbally devastating counter attacks. Eminem is a lyrical GOD, accept it.

Hey! i totally agree with everything you said! alot of people think hes just a wanna be. no, he IS. also, alot of other rappers, if you watch their music videos, they all have one thing in common..they all have women in very little clothing shaking their asses on the camera. do you see eminem doing that? NO! he doesnt need to have naked women on his videos to get people to watch them. also, though he raps about where hes from and all, hes not always raping about how man cars he has, how much "bling bling" hes got and how big his house is. hes just funny! even if you dont like him you have to accept his talent!
