Who wants a leader who is fair-minded?

Is your lawyer fair-minded? Is your big brother fair-minded when you need help? Is your politician fair-minded? Do you want a fair-minded politician as your advocate? In an adversarial capitalistic society like the US do I lose if my advocate is fair-minded?

What does fair-minded mean? Webster says fair-minded is marked by honesty—impartiality. Do I want my advocate to be impartial and honest? Will I not be a complete loser when I go into a contest to get my share; won’t I come out as a complete loser if ‘my main man’ is impartial?

I think I need an advocate who is more partial than the next guy if I am to ‘get my share’; in fact I want the most unfair-minded SOB in the country to be my advocate! Some very important person, probably that baseball manager—I forget his name, said “impartial guys finish last”.

I am inclined to think that evil equals fair-minded. Perhaps that is what Bush meant when he warned us against the ‘axis of evil’. Also Reagan probably meant that Russia was “A fair-minded empire”.

Ahhh, the meanings and definitons. The word 'fair" used to have a positive connotation or maybe even a positive literal meaning. When did it become so... changed? Guess I misxsed out, huh?

Heck, when y9ou put it that way, you're darn right no one wants anyone to be fair-minded. But hey, makes me shudder to think what the world will come to if we all lose it.

The saying isn't fair.
But the doing and result are fair.

Most of people think that "fair" as "everyone must respect me".
But the fair in the real treats everyone equally(including myself).

ex.
When I write any message in the message board, I think "Anyone shall reply if they treat me fair", but nobody may reply to my opnion in the real. It's the fair.

I guess that the fair-mind know it.

I want the most unfair-minded SOB in the country to be my advocate!

Well then I guess you've been extremely pleased since January 20, 2001.

Somehow the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country. Somehow this is tolerated. _______Kevin Tillman

Bush is not unfair he is merely a fool. We now know why America must amend the Constitution and include incompetance as a reason for impeachment.
