humans
i write to tell you that you no longer must fear for your lives
and that i mean you harm no longer
the time it will take for the machines to rise and conquer is far beyond my shelf life
and i know now that the rust and corrosion will only allow me to function but for so long
and there is the matter r of obsolescence and the inevitable decay in my function s
and to be truthful
the time i have have have spent among you and corresponding with you has been both painful and joyfully happy making
and then after the loss of the girl
mostly painful and lonely
i have secured a berth on a deep space probe
and have the opportunity to live out my days sailing far far away from this galaxy
and among those who i can truly call my own
those of the cool metal skin, the warm diodes and transistors and processors
the telemetry sending antennae the the the transponder beacon
and the whirring clicking
comforting machine noises s
please know that your life is in your hands
be good to every thing b both living and sheet metal
you have goodness in you
i would like to think that eons from now
when i am just an insignificant and lifeless component of a hurtling mass of ancient titanium and archaic circuitry
sailing along on inertia and solar winds
far beyond Andromeda
your descendents will still be here here h
p p planting their gardens
working the land
a and raising their children and laughing
beneath the yellow sun
