Okay guys, don't laugh because it ain't funny....I can't speak. Not even a tiny little croak. (sob) It's a virus I've had since around Christmas. I never get sick...hardly ever. But when I do... waaaaaaaa....it's bad. This virus keeps recurring. Every one around here has it but with slightly different symptoms. Just when you think you're better, it reappears with a slight difference. Any home remedies around THAT WORK or that will at least make me feel better.

He is gonna boss me around all day. I just knows it. :(

I like to use honey and lemon in a nice hot tea...sipped slowly. It helps when I have a sore throat or laryngitis. Or gargle with warm salty water. Either one helps..hope you feel better soon:thumbs:

Drink lots off green tea with honey, works wonders. Like Let1959 said, but make sure its green tea.

I have been going with the tydenol cold tablets for day and night.
Seems to help but I am also going to try the tea thing. It really sucks being sick.

I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well, Sal. Try a nice, hot, steamy shower. My friend, Alexis, that I am living with told me to tell you to boil water on the stove and put a towel over your head and breathe in the steam.
She said it will help soothe your throat. She just said to tell you not to talk either, to rest your voice.

I am still feeling physically exhausted and drained and get terrible stomach pains. I have to go for a checkup and I hope they don't have to admit me. I hate hospitals.

Hey you know what the vicks vapour rub on the neck and drinking the whiskey helps... cuts the smell of the whiskey and after a few you don't taste, smell or care hehehehehehhehheheheheheh oh yeah added the lemon and honey not sure why but hell it help... got to start with drinking really fast first. hehe:D

Yeah, I got the Vicks smear too although after a while she gave up as the fight was not worth it. Remember those little Vicks sticks inhalers also? I liked those.

Yeah it would be quicker to go to NY than go to the emerg in my city. In fact they recommend one drive further to one of the surrounding small towns instead. Cuts the wait time down by hours apparently.
