Scientists in China say they have developed a new way of predicting earthquakes-by observing erratic behaviour in snakes.

Down here in The Deep South, the snakes always act perfectly normal.

(It's the fanatical, 'speaking in tongues' goobers who handle them that you've got to watch out for.)

That is very cool. My mum told me that they had a cat named Dopey who would climb up under a very heavy dining room table hours before they would get bombed. Cat was never wrong she claimed.

Toronto has wonderful cultural diversity, and a great nightlife. It's very close to where I live. But far enough away too, if you know what I mean. It would be too large for me on a daily basis.

Kidding paul, kidding. Life is extremely laid back here. Barely a bump in the road. :D

Depends what you're looking for. But many would agree with you. You have to create your own excitement.

A baby seal walks into a bar.
"What can I get you?" asks the bartender.
"Anything but a Canadian Club," replies the seal.

Snakes will warn you of quakes...bears will warn you of ...well plummeting IQ syndrome perhaps. Can you imagine what that thing smells like?

That polar bear doesn't look so tough. I bet I could kick that bear's ass.
Sparq

PS (I mean hypothetically speaking, of course. He is just a photo on a website.)

PSS (If I even SAW him alive and standing, I wouldn't even have time to cry like a girl, because I'd be so busy fainting.)

PPSS (Now a small or MEDium size live polar bear, I could probably kick that ass. Or maybe a fairly large woodchuck.)

PPPSSS (OK, I could likely take a largish squirrel, and definitely do some serious damage to, say, a housecat. As long as those claws were trimmed and not too sharp.)

PPPPSSSS (I did kill a turtle once, but I have to confess I was in my car at the time, doing 65 miles an hour, so you couldn't really say it was a fair contest or anything. But in the brief second I had to observe him before I crushed him under my oil pan, I clearly recall that he was one tough, bad-ass looking turtle.)
