After taking a break this past weekend, I came back and was welcomed with three different people hawking those "Turn $6 into $10 bazillion in just 2 nanoseconds" scams. What I have been doing with them is simply deleting the posts and banning them. However, I could be doing things a bit different. Which do you think I should do?

Note that choices 2 & 3 would likely require me to add a new Mod. I'll deal with that if necessary.

Don't give those clowns any more attention than they deserve. What you're doing is OK.
One thought -- post their email addy so we can share spam with them.

#4 would be fun, but since they won't ever return to see us make fun of them, that takes the fun out of it. (Excuse that last sentence, please).

Hmm, I always just liked the delete and ban (which by the way I delete a few of those every now and then still!), but really that shame idea isn't bad! They put their addresses in those 6 dollar post so we could laugh at all the idiots.

There seems to be a lot of people participating in that, I wonder how stupid the ones that actually send the money away feel after a few weeks with no results. They could have just added there name to the list, of course anyone with any sense would do that which means the only people who are losing money are the stupid people which probably are already low on money.. yadda yadda yadda kind of funny if you ask me.

But yes theres not much reason to not ban them, the only reason those people come back is to hit the board again.

PS dont bother with their isp. 99% of them wouldn't do anything about it if the subscriber was plotting the worlds destruction as long as they got their 7.99 monthly payment ;)

Shoot them:D, just kidding. Some people do these things without relizing they are being a pain in the arse. First offence slap on the wrist, 2nd offence jail time, 3rd offence electric chair.

I think you should maybe warn them the first 2 times. If they do it a third time, ban them.

I would warn them at most once. If they come back and do it again that's all they ever would do is spam.
