What is one to do when the dealership you were about to purchase a vehicle from ends up committing a fraudulant act that not only helps with losing said vehicle but also helps in the loss of your job?! That's right, you heard it here first, folks. The salesman didn't like how little I was making at my job but prefered my fiance's pay. So he decided to impose my name on my fiance's pay stub and submit it to the finance company...without our knowledge. I was handed the keys to my brand new vehicle and was told to enjoy! I had the vehicle for 3 1/2 weeks when the salesman called in a panic and said there was a problem...financing had been denied and they needed the vehicle back. The finance company faxed a copy of "my pay stub" to my employer for verification and my employer not only told them that wasn't my stub and it just may not be their's...WTF? My employer thought I committed this fraud and immediately fired me stating "they didn't need this kind of dishonesty for their company"...didn't even bother to ask to hear my side. Salesman still has his job for Christmas, but not me:rant: I've filed a complaint to the BBB and to so many other's that it ain't funny. Can't get help from no one. One thing I have to say to JONES NISSAN in SAVANNAH, TN...is :upyours:

Sounds like a big, fat lawsuit in the making to me. If I were you, I'd be contacting lawyers like crazy right about now.

Exactly. This sounds like the kind of thing that should have an attorney salivating.

Agreed. Sounds like you had a relatively crappy employer, though.

A lawyer for you is definitely in order. Also, look into whether you should file a police report, as a crime has been committed.

Could be fun if you let it out to the media too, but only with your atty's blessing

Well baby, cheer up!!!!!!!!!!!! AND Merry Christmas because when your lawyer gets through with everyone you will have no car payment and probably won't have to work for a couple of years. Don't worry, be happy because stupid people abound and you found some!

For sure ... contact one of the local TV stations consumer assistance folks. If your plight is newsworthy & they can help you do something about it, it'll be all over the local news for a day or so. Certainly not the kind of publicity any car dealership wants. It will probably be enough to embarass your company into offering you your job back, or better yet, a new job with a competitor who wants nothing better than to "stick it" to whoever you've been working for.
Just be sure to copy and save every piece of paper you and the dealership signed and traded back & forth. Proper documentation is of the utmost importance.
