Saw it tonight... watched it at 3am in the pitch dark... and it was decent for a scare, though nothing overly amazing about it. I was tempted to pick apart their computer terminology and the whole plotline, but instead attempted to enjoy it. Special effects (at least in terms of the blood, gore, and corpses) were fair, though pretty plastic and unbelievable in places. It relied heavily on the night-time/raining/under-lighted/solitary mood settings... I think for the most part, without those factors the 'creepyness' of it would fall through the floor (which unfortunately suggests the plot was... not so captivating?).

While a somewhat decent movie, nothing amazing, and definitely lacking in some areas. It certainly reminded me of 'The Ring', relying much more on the creepy/disturbing factor (flashing images, severed sequences, gritty, grungy and muted scenes mixed with odd 'musical' sequences and grungy/mechanical sound effects), rather then an overly deep/psychological plotline. 'Thriller' sequences kept you somewhat on the edge of your seat, though inevitably you'll end up falling back into it to grab a handful of popcorn as you wait for the next one.

Although I'll admit, it's irked me out enough to not have the guts to check for a feardotcom.com. ;)
