So The Lakers and the Wizards squared off the other night in a game that saw 2 overtimes and lots of scoring. Kobe Bryant scored 45 pts, the Lakers had over 140 points total.. game, set, match right? Wrong.. Gilbert Arenas dropped 60 on the Lakers and the Wizards beat the Lakers.

Of Course, that's not really the story.. the STORY is of what Kobe said about Arenas's 60 point performance.

Kobe: "You tip your hat and say, 'See you next time.' First of all, he shot 27 free throws. We as a team shot 30. Think about that.

But him individually, it's funny. He doesn't seem to have much of a conscience. I really don't think he does. Some of the shots he took tonight, you miss those, and they're just terrible shots. Awful. You make them and they're unbelievable shots. I don't get a chance to play him much, so I haven't gotten used to that mentality of just chucking it up there. He made some big ones, but I'll be ready next time.

Actually Kobe is averaging 28 points 5 rebounds and 5 assist ,and shooting 48 percent from the field. Gilbert is shooting 42 percent ,Lebron and Wade 47 percent. Last season Kobe had to be aggressive beginning of the season because Lamar did not know the triangle offense. From the middle of the season on,the Lakers played as a team. Kobe finished the season shooting 45 percent.

Michael Jordan rarely gave credit after a opposing player had a big game against him. He didnt diss the guy ,but he didnt go out of his way to compliment him either. Its a pride thing. It doesn't suprise me that Bryant's shooting percentage is up this year.. because he's not shooting as much. He has alot of good players around him like Farmar, Odom, Kwame Brown, Luke Walton, and Bynum. Those are good players... Kobe has finally settled down a bit on his "i want to be hero" stuff.. but trust me, the man has NO ROOM to tell Gilbert Arenas about shot conscience...

I honestly don't think i am.. last year he averaged a few points over Lebron but yet took almost 300 more shots then him. Kobe jacked up shots last year like he had a death sentence if he didnt average 30 points a game.

I agree with Kobe...even if it's funny coming from him. Gilbert Arenas has Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, both great scorers. For him to chuck the ball as much as he does at an abysmal 42%, he's either selfish or retarded.

Atleast Kobe had a reason to chuck up the ball 40 times a game last year, his whole team was terrible offensively. He still even shot 45%, which is pretty impressive considering some of the shots he had to take. This year Lamar Odom is coming around offensively...Luke Walton is getting better...I'd be surprised if Kobe broke 50 points in a game this year.
