I saw a funny news story today on the world news. It was about how there is apparently a Democratic movement to push for people paying no taxes to receive tax returns.
They supplemented the story with an individual's story, a poor single black woman with four children who makes just over $20K a year and thus doesn't pay a dime in taxes thinks she deserves a tax return...
Then there were a couple of Democrats interviewed who said something about how we need to bail out the poor and care for this nation's children. And then there was the Republican w/ one obvious point saying they shouldn't be trying to call that a tax break, but welfare instead.
Can this country get any more ludicrous? Have we completely abandoned the concept of accountability for your irresponsible behavior (e.g. Having 4 children when you can't afford them)? Since when are we responsible for raising any children other than orphans and our own?
