Nah, what I speak is Ridgewood German. The area of NYC where I was born and spent quite a few years was German/American and we spoke a patoisof English and German. Rather than painting the house, we, gepainted das haus.
I spoke German before I spoke English but once I started school my parents stopped speaking German at home almost completely so I have forgotten most of it. I tend to pick it up again when I visit Germany of when my relative from Germany visit.

Herr Mertz,
That is a bunch of garbage. New Jersey was created simply so New Yorkers would have a state close by to laugh at. Jersey is the land of gum popping, big haired airheads. The only other thing Jersey has is the Meadowlands and the gas tanks or as we call it, Smellytown.
What would ever possess you to move to New Jersey? Get out, man, while there is still time, before you become a, gasp, Jerseyite.

My Uncle and Aunt used to live in NYC,not sure were, but I know it was close to a place called Battery Park. They didnt like the way the neighbourhood was going down the toilet and didnt want the kids growing up there. This Uncle and his brother had a pretty successful carpentry business, working on all the big jobs in Manhattan, things were good,so they bought a house in a small town called Oradell NJ.

Frogger, Jersey is only power plants and inner cities, right. That's the stereotype I always hear. I was raised in West Milford. 80 square miles and only about 20-25thousand people. NJ has a great many forests and wetlands also some of the safest cities and towns in the country.

Why does New Jersey have all of the toxic waste dumps and New York have all of the lawyers? New Jersey had first choice.

i've always been fond of NJ-they drive like i do.
Bumper-to-bumper @65mph :drive:
NYC on the other hand can't seem to mark it's bridges right. i've lost track of how many 11'3"s i've been under with a 13'6" truck, but i knocked down a "14'3" sign once with the same truck.:lolhit:
