My bride and I went and saw this film today.
Violent, historically-accurate, and brilliant.

Good GOD, was it brutal and bloody though.
Do NOT bring your date to this movie.
It is not a chick flick.

Mel seems to love his brutality. He probably thought Mortal Kombat needed more blood in it.

I enjoyed it.

Especially the scene where the guy eats the tapir testicles raw.

Oh man, I so want to see this... In my opinion, there are several things that can make a movie really good. These include: blood, gore, explosions, guns, fast cars, hot girls, etc.

I thought maybe Mel Gibson needed for Passion of the Christ to be violent for some reason that I couldn't fathom. But this movie had way too much gratuitous violence. I almost left the theater today, but my friends convinced me to stay. The ending was better than the violence in the middle, i'll say that. Still, I have to wonder about Mel, and why he needs all this blood and gore.:(
