...for tying the great Adolph Rupp for second on the all-time victory list.
The General has now set his sights on Dean Smith. Go Coach go.
Knight is 66 years old and has lost none of his fire.
I wish to GOD he was still at IU. He is a fine man.
Take THAT, Gene Keady!!!!!

Bobby Knight is Bobby Knight...
I like his old school style, the respect he commands and receives... However, sometimes he acts quite immature... but nobody's perfect...
I wish he were still at IU too

He's a jerk, but a great coach.

He is a great coach, and a lousy human being. He is also fully capable of hunting with Dick Cheney.

I disagree.
Coach doesn't get credit for half the good things he does.
All the reporters write about is bad--which they could easily do about many many college coaches.---
(Bob Huggins comes to mind) but Coach has been their lightning rod for YEARS.
As Coach said about the reporters--
"We all learn to write by the fourth grade..then most of us go on to other things."
HAHA!
He has made no secret of his dislike for this bunch and it has been reciprocated.
One game to go before he ties Dean Smith, 2 before he passes him. At that time, he will receive a congratulatory telegram from this faithful fan.
PS Anyone recall when Gene Keady threw his coat into the stands?
Ha, bet you don't--because it received little press.

I think he sould have just chucked a chair out on the court after he got the win, just for old times sake :)

Moments ago, we watched Coach move into history by breaking Dean Smith's record.
It was an emotional moment for all his thousands upon thousands of loyal fans that were left behind when he was run out of town like a mangy dogs by the idiot and number one on my hate list Miles Brand.
Coach didn't mention IU in his post game speech. Can't say that I blame him.
We have a card to send along to him--what people don't realize is what a nice, thoughtful, intelligent and articulate man he is, off the court. On the court, he demands the very best from his players. This makes him a bad guy to many.
He says he intends to keep coaching until age 90. This will ensure that the rat faced twit at Puke has NO chance of ever breaking his record. Coach K can have fun trying, tho, the little turd.

Geez, where to start? The adoration of an asshat coach who doesn't like you, that's for sure. Hating Coach K for having the temerity of also winning lots of games? The nerve! Seriously, what has Coach K ever done to anyone?

1. We met him at a banquet for alumni years ago. He seemed to like us but that's neither here nor there I suppose.
2. IU/Duke game 1992 in the Big Dance. The officiating was so horrendous that two Indiana state senators called for an NCAA investigation. You may recall Duke "star" Christopher Laettner was on that team, who went on to win the title by also cheating Kentucky.
Besides, I have it on a good authority that Coach K is a drunkard.

If you coach at Duke, you are going to get alot of victories... it just comes with the territory... they have the best recruiting in College Basketball

gosh, I wonder why THAT is...
Could it be the scintilating courses Puke offers to its b'ball players, like Basket Weaving 101, Sleeping as an Art Form 202, or Drinking with "Coach " Lush 303.
Okay, done with my "Coach" K rant.

OK, sorry, but if I had a free ride to Duke or to IU, I'm off to Duke. Which isn't intended as a slam to IU, but seriously people . . .

I suppose it depends on your major--Duke does have a good law school ( Richard Nixon went there: :) )
and of course there's their illustrious lacrosse team...
IU has an excellent school of medicine, Classical Studies department, and of course, our school of music is considered the best in the world.
Which is why our pep band at games sounds so much better than anyone else's.:D
