Dear Lord Frogger.

A true American holiday this is, in that you eat as much as you can! You my friend, are a great American. ;)

Thanksgiving at my house usually includes friends or neighbors. They come over, we put on the game, and feast upon a few things my mom cooked up while we await the fowl creature roasting in the oven. Then it is time for dinner! We gather around the table, say our prayers, and maybe sing a song (don't ask me why). I usually substitute singing with quoting lines from 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles' in honor of Turkey Day. We eat salad, rolls, stuffing, turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and anything else we feel like having. We finish up the meal with chocolate brownie trifle, pies, and biscotti. Wine and coffee is served throughout. Then we usually spend time yakking at the table listening to Kenny G or some other lame music. After everyone leaves to enjoy their evening and digest, the family and I go out on a walk through the nearby parks and ponds. We then retire to watch a movie...usually a piss poor, "feel good" one.

I like Thanksgiving because it means I get to gorge myself shamelessly, and watch the security tapes of people getting trampled from Wal Mart the next morning. Oh, don't even get me started on that parade...bah.

Plus it means that we have to put up with the onset of cold weather, busier schedules, unnecessary mail from people you haven't spoken too in years, sales, sales, and more sales, and not to mention those durned Christmas carols play on all the radio stations and stores for the next month.

Perhaps it is a pity I have made enemies with Turkey Day and Newtonmas so early in my life...oh well. At least I'm not that fat bird.

Happy Turkey Day, everyone. Eat a lot and be thankful.

I myself just had a pretty lame Thanksgiving. My family's on the other side of the globe, my girlfriend had to work, and I couldn't get in touch with any of my friends. So I pretty much spent the whole day by myself. Still, I got myself a large meat lover's pizza and a bottle of Hennessy, so I'm still going to celebrate.

Everybody enjoy your day, and help yourself to an extra slice of turkey for me.

I'm sure we can all give thanks to you, Jester.

May you have many better Thanksgivings in the years to come.

How well I remember both of the Thanksgivings I spent in Korea. Neither was good for anything but being intoxicated. Pizza would have been a nice break from the mess hall.

Jester, I think of your being over there quite often and fully know how much you miss the world. Not to worry - it'll be here waiting when you return.

My bride and I went over to my sister's house and had Thanksgiving dinner with her family. Great food, great company, and *thank you sweet Jesus* there were NFL games on the big screen all afternoon and into the evening.

(Great day all in all, unless you were a Lions fan, a Bucs fan, or a Broncos fan.):(

I'm not American and we had our Thanksgiving sometime ago. However, Happy Thanksgiving to you all, including those that I may disagree with once in a while.
A special thought to those in your armed forces who cannot be with their families. Also similar good wishes to those in the armed forces of other countries who are serving us all in the pursuit of peace and goodwill.

Thank you all for your good wishes. But as crappy as my Thanksgiving was, I really can't complain... there are a lot of soldiers who spent their holiday in the middle of a combat zone and had it a hell of a lot worse than I did. So I was still thankful this Thanksgiving, because god knows where I'll be next Thanksgiving.

Besides, Friday night more than made up for the lousy Thursday. :)
