The PSX is going to have some nice multi-media features that weren't included in any console before, but is it going have any updated game hardware, so it would be alittle more in the league with the other consoles?
The current ps2 hardware is hopelessly outdated, it's CPU is 293Mhz, compared to the Gamecube's 480Mhz and Xbox's 773Mhz CPUs. It can't process graphics as detailed or on the same resolution as the one's on the other consoles.
If Sony just going to market the new console solely on its multi-media(which you can find in a good pc) and won't include an updated CPU or graphics processor, then I'm gonna look for another place to spend my money.
