Is it my imagination, but hasnt there been a series of school bus accidents recently?

This happened today in the community where I live and work, and I can't begin to convey the shock and sense of tragedy here.

The news went out shortly after 10:30 this morning for any parents who have kids at Lee High School to proceed directly to the local emergency rooms. I can't imagine the terror and anguish those moms and dad's went through, both the ones whose kids were on that bus, and even those who just didn't know.

When the call went out for blood donors, you should've seen the place empty out as folks went down to the hospital to donate blood! I am so proud of my teammates and this community.

We are all praying for the parents, family, and friends of these kids who were affected by this terrible tragedy. God, please give them strength.

I guess if youre not tuned to events like this in your own back yard, this can be traumatic to everyone. Out west in LA, this is an everyday occurance, and you get a little numb to it after a while.

my heart goes out to the friends and family of the students involved.
