Lol I learned this trick in the seventh grade. The middle number is always nine and the sum of the two numbers always equals nine. So if the number you circled was three. Then the other number was six.

It is always 9. You can do it a thousand times and you will get 9.

After you subtract your two numbers, the sum of the digits in your answer will always be a multiple of 9. So once you give it the digits you didn't circle it can easily find out the digit you did circle.

For example, I subtracted my two numbers and got 5436.
5 + 4 + 3 + 6 = 18.
I circled the 4, leaving 5, 3, and 6.
5 + 3 + 6 = 14.
The number I circled = 18 - 14 = 4
