Early evening is probably a good time - it's never super busy - but there's a lot of chat - especially related to politics & world news.

Yeah, and also weekends tend to be slow. I used to be on all the time, but I won't be lately due to some major stuff going on in my life. Mainly, I'm moving and all that's here in my new apartment is 56k. :( And as I have little patience with 56k (besides which there's only one phone line), I won't be on as often as I used to be until RoadRunner is installed.
