When it snows (rarely) in this part of the world, everybody stays at home.

I'm ready. I expect that we'll have snow soon, as we always do. We've had a couple of warning snows of a couple of inches, and soon we'll have the one that sticks to the ground for months.

When we get snow I just take the time off work til it thaws, usually 4 r 5 days tops. Its the minus 15 nites I cant stand.

After the first snow, that's plenty for me. I'd like it fine if I didn't have to deal with the hills and curves around here to get to work. Put me in a cabin in the woods with enough supplies for the winter, and I'd be fine.

This is where I lived (http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=7000+S+Abbot+Rd,+14075) as a kid. I left in 1968 and did not return to live there unitl 31 years later. I stayed about 2.5 years. I don't know why folks want to live where the weather is so crappy. Western New York state may not have the record for annual snowfall, but 190 inches per year (4.82 meter) is no joke.
