WASHINGTON -- An online media and advertising company accused of unfairly and deceptively downloading its software onto consumers' computers has agreed to pay a $3 million fine to the Federal Trade Commission.

In a settlement with the FTC, Zango Inc. agreed to clearly notify consumers and seek their consent before installing its software, which critics call "adware," onto Web surfers' computers. The company said it would also make it easier for consumers to remove the software.

There's a special place for folks like that. 20 hours a day of having to be strapped to a chair, given just enough chemical stimulant to prevent sleep, and forced to view Hilary Clinton speeches interspersed with Dr. Laura re-runs from both radio and television shows. One 6 hr period of sleep permitted for each 100 hours of viewing.

I'd suggest a Jerry Springer special edition featuring Monica Lewinsky. Linda Tripp, and Bill and Hillary Clinton. They could even bring a tearful Chelsea out for a segment.

Hillary would kick the shit outta Monica (and Bill, and the bodyguard too).

They should've been fined 100 million.

$3 million is not enough. The CEO should share a jail cell with Skilling, or even better should share a cell with Ken Lay.
