My oh my, one would think that opposing the U.S. in its invasion of Iraq and it's War on Terror would cut the Germans just a bit of a break, but that don't seem to be the case.
An article in the The San Francisco Chronicle points out that Germany just ain't feeling so damn secure nowadays. Let me hit the high points for all to feast your eyes on, dammit.
*Some six in ten Germans feel threatened by Islamists.
*Bomb scares have become an almost daily occurance in Germany's mass transit train system. Not only are the Germans aware of the train attacks in Spain, India and in Britain, two "insurgents" tried to blow up two trains in Northern Germany. Those in the Rhineland no longer feel quite secure in their little "island of safety," dammit.
*The Germans did a bit of pre-emptive censorship and cancelled Mozart's opera "Idomeneo" for fear of getting the native Islamists irate. Of course, the Deutsch have reason to fear of riling up the Islamists, after that cartoon flap, and the Pope, who IS German reading off some bad press from one late Byzantine Emperor and igniting the "Arab Street," amongst other things, dammit.
*ONE THIRD of the 100 Mosques in downtown Hamburg are being monitored for "suspicious activity." Wow, one THIRD!
*The German largest newspaper Bildzeitung has already complained that Germans are starting to knuckle under the "Islamists."
*As in other European countries, the Muslims falling under the sway of the Islamists are second generation immigrants who haven't assimillated in mainstream German society. They feel left out. It doesn't help that they're getting propaganda fresh from Hezbollah via satellite TV out of Lebanon telling these youths all about Israel "attrocities" and American soldiers raping babies, killing pregnant women and all the rest. Just tune into stations like Al-Manar to get your fill of the Anti-American, Anti-Israeli propaganda. Gee, Freethinker would be proud, dammit.
I've stated over and over and over and OVER that the Islamists aren't going to leave the West alone. England, Spain, France, Denmark have all had a small taste of what America experienced on 9/11. In one of his State of the Union speech, Bush stated that either you're with us or against us in this "War on Terror." Maybe he should've said that either you're part of the solution or part of the problem. Stepping aside and trying to feed the U.S. and Israel to Islamist anger is blowing up in the faces of the Euroweenies. It's time they became part of the solution, dammit.
