Which is better on ps2, gta3 or gta vc? Did you need to play gta3 first, in order to understand or to play vc?

Vice City is much better. And the story does not build off of GTA3, in fact GTAVC is set in the 80s.

I prefer Vice City because the lead character in it actually has a personality.

it doesnt matter i got vc and its really good they are basicaly the same;)

Vice City has a bunch of extra stuff like better graphics, motorcycles, helicopters (flyable!), your own house...but GTA3 I have seen for $20, while VC is still $40 or $50. Depends on whether you think it's worth the extra money.
