Anyone here ever read this book? If you saw the movie with Demi Moore in it and then compare it to the novel, they both tell two entirely different stories. Why is it that EVERY TIME hollywood decides to make a movie out of a good novel, they ALWAYS screw it up :(

They did this with practically every novel that I've read. They did this with 1977 Star Wars, First Blood, Clan of the Cave Bear, The Good Mother, They even did this with Homers trilogy "The Oddessey"

Why Oh Why do movie makers make such a habit of this

So far, the best set of novels I've read to date were Linda Lay Shulers trilogy: She Who Remembers, Voice of the Eagle, and Let the Drums Speak. So help me if Hollywood even dares to touch any one of these novels and butchers them the way they did all the others I will probably die of horror.

If you want a shocking change, try reading "M*A*S*H: A Novel About Three Army Doctors". The movie is very different than the book, and the TV series is even more different than that. The book is better than either the movie or the TV series.

I couldn't argue with that. I completely agree with what you said.
