View Full Version : President Bush's Greatest Accomplishment

By far, the single greatest accomplishment of
President George Bush is something that no
one thought would ever be possible: By comparison,
he has made his father, former President George Bush,
look really, really Good.
As for BOY-BUSH - he remains the laughing-stock of
the world - a man, perhaps mentally-impaired, who
will go down in American History as one of the greatest
buffoons, if not the greatest, to every serve as president
of the United States.

Agreed.
Lance_Zuma. You have accomplished nothing with this asinine posting. Except to perhaps expose your status as a tool of the Democrat party.
To how many websites have you posted this meaningless garbage, huh?
Election year politics. Shameless stuff, really.

Excellent post, Lance.
Especially the part about his being the laughing-stock of the rest of the world.

The only "trouble" I have is that my nation is being led by a person who seems (as Lance pointed out) mentally impaired and who is (as Lance pointed out) viewed as a laughingstock by much of the rest of the world.

FT,
I have some connections, and I think I can pull some strings.
You want a brief audience with the President of the United States?
I believe I can make it happen.
I'd be curious to sit in the cheap seats, and see just how angry and hateful you would be, face to face with the man. Without a keyboard and monitor between you and the source of your greatest anguish.
Or if you like, I can sponsor you directly, and in that case, I would have to be the facilitator and principal briefer. But you would still get some direct face-to-face time with your arch-nemesis.
What say you?
I will exert the effort to make this happen, if you like.
But you'd better be ready to deliver some sort of message of substance, sir.
Something more tangible and credible than this hateful bullshit you've been spewing on this website as of late.
I am deadly-serious. PM me.

Mr. "I-would-move-to-Sweden-if-I-could" now refers to the US as "my country." Scandalous.
Much of the rest of the world laughs at the most powerful human being on the planet? I'd love to see documentation of that. Also, you'd have to write an entire dissertation to convince me your only problem is President Bush, especially with the way you talk.

The one part of Bush that people can't deny is that he lead. For better for worse, through an absolute storm of controversy, Bush has made decisions and he has stuck with them. Say what you want about Bush's decisions, but the man IS sincere in his beliefs and hasn't swayed one bit in through controversy, ridicule, derision and absolute hatred I don't think has been seen since Abraham Lincoln. It says something about a man's character when he can "stay the course" through so much opposition and do so with a sincerity and earnestness that I could wish Bush would display more often than what he does. Could any of you people make a decision and stick with it if you were faced with the kind of venom tossed at you that Bush has recieved since day one? Bush has character, dammit.
I don't know how it's going to turn out in Iraq, Bush's most controversial decision, it could go either way. I'm hoping for the best in Iraq, but sometimes I don't think it'll work out. The one thing about Bush though, is that he will be remembered for the decisions he has made. Which is a hell of a lot better of a legacy than being known for being impeached and managing to redifine oral sex as not sex, the way certain past presidents will be remembered, dammit.

Absolutely.
He will be remembered for making some of the WORST decisions in U.S. history.
Authorizing torture.
Approving warrantless wiretaps.
Fomenting a disastrous "war" based on lies.
Taing the nation form a huge surplus to a massive deficit.
Attempting to abolish the writ of habeas corpus.
Making America more hated and feared than at any time in its history.
...the man IS sincere in his beliefs and hasn't swayed one bit in through controversy...
Many rightwingers --for some bizarre reason I cannot understand-- think it is a positive attrubute (?!?!) to not change one's mind in the face of drastically changing situations. Only a fool never changes their mind.

The one part of Hitler that people can't deny is that he lead. For better for worse, through an absolute storm of controversy, Hitler has made decisions and he has stuck with them. Say what you want about Hitlers decisions, but the man IS sincere in his beliefs and hasn't swayed one bit in through controversy, ridicule, derision and absolute hatred I don't think has been seen since STALIN. It says something about a man's character when he can "stay the course" through so much opposition and do so with a sincerity and earnestness that I could wish HITLER would display more often than what he does. I don't know how it's going to turn out in Occupied Europe, HITLERS's most controversial decision, it could go either way. I'm hoping for the best in POLAND, but sometimes I don't think it'll work out. The one thing about HITLER though, is that he will be remembered for the decisions he has made. Which is a hell of a lot better of a legacy than being known as a right-wing, christian-oriented, child-raping, woman-hating, homophobic American redneck , the way most of todays republicans will be remembered, dammit.

What possessed you to think that you were capable of being entertaining or interesting to read? If I'd wanted to talk to someone on par with you intellectually, then I'd be at Wal-Mart talking to the head cashier. Maybe you wouldn't read like such a pathetic loser if you weren't living proof that Californians shouldn't breed.
Hey, Lance (or whatever you've decided to call yourself as of late) - here's an idea: in the future, when you go off on these infantile tirades - have a point...it makes it so much more interesting for the reader.

You forgot "political satire is dead 401"
I'd have to say Bush's greatest accomplishment was surviving an assassination attempt by a rouge pretzel. Which goes hand in hand with his second greatest accomplishment, not getting shot in the face by Dick Cheney.

First off, thank you Prae.
Lance, I've got to admit you did one hell of a job in spiking my post. At first I didn't read "my" post that you rather creatively altered. I had wondered why you were agreeing with me and what had gotten prae so riled up. Then I read a bit more carefully what you did. Like I said, it's a good sabotage job.
Of course, I realized that spiking and sabotaging is the best you can do. I really hadn't written my post to attract the attention to the likes of YOU. I know, I know that people are free to respond to anything anybody says on these boards and I'm sure as hell aren't going to argue about that. But you see, I read some of the responses to your original post and wanted to try to get people to think of the situation Bush is in from a different angle. One of my points was that sometimes a leader has to do what is right, even when it's not popular rather than do what's popular when it isn't right. I had also wanted people to think what it would be like to have to face the kind of criticism Bush has to face and still stick to decisions he thinks of as the right thing to do. Now, clearly, such ideas are clearly beyond the scope of what you are able or willing to do. Hence, you go the easy route, just compare Bush to Hitler and don't bother trying to counter any of my points.
Your free to hate Bush all you want. However, if you all you can do is come up with invective, why bother posting? Your offering nothing unique or sincere to these boards, dammit.

Continuing to "stick to" the same horrendously misguided, failed policies (the hopeless quagmire in Iraq being a good example) DOES indeed *tell me something* about Bush and his Administration;
--they have their own agenda and could give a fuck less what the American People want or need.
.... he (Bush) thinks of as the right thing to do.
Mr. Bush and his ConservaFascists cohorts are not *sticking with* their antihuman agenda because of any relationship it has to "the right thing to do".
The Washington crowd "sticks with it" --as has been the case for many decades now-- because it best serves the economic interests and desires of the Corporate State.

FT,
Just curious;
Were you a robust and confident youngster on the playground, or did you get beat up a lot, and have your lunch money stolen by some larger, cruel kids?
(Who, as it turns out, were part of a larger, Republico-Fascist Recess-Cabal, intent on dominating the entire playground, and dominating the swing sets at the expense of the weaker and gentler downtrodden kids?)

There was only one kid throughout school that was bigger than me......when we lined up for high school graduation, he got to go last (we entered by height, shortest first, tallest last) by dint of being 1/4 inch taller than me.
He and I disliked each other and fought several times. Everyone else left the two of us alone.

But then again its not failure. Bush attacked Iraq to control the oil, not pump it. OPEC and big oil have been funding this boys failures from the start, it was time to pay the piper with what he does best.
