I had a problem with my computer that hopefully will be corrected soon.
I use Yahoo as my homepage and e-mail.
Last weekend I could not access yahoo, so I cleaned out all cookies and internet cookies.
That left me unable to access allforums, bad feeling after being a member so long.
I could not get a new password because I could not get to my e-mail to retrieve it.(still no access to yahoo).
I went to msn and got a new e-mail address, but allforums did not recognize it to send me a password.
I then tried to send admins an email through "contact" but the e-mail came back as undelivered, twice, so I gave up on that.
The only recourse that I had was to get this new member name and try to get help.
To Borg, I appologize for sending you a message for help because I had never read the "Tech Support Posting Guidelines" post about not to send a message to an Admin for help. Guess I just went immediately to, what I consider, the resident computer genius.
Well anyway, the problems with my computer turns out to have been caused by a server at Mediacom. They are supposted to eventually help me straighten things out.
Until them I guess I will be using this name. I did not want to lose my original idenity and number of posts.
I thought an admin could simply change my email address on my original post so that the system would recognize the new email and give me a password to access under the old name.
As ES stated on another post, you sort of get a bad feeling when you cannot access allforums after being a member so long.
Have a good day,
DanF.
