It will be a high priority update for those of you who do not know and will be installed automatically for those of you who have that feature turned on.
To prevent this and stay on IE6 go here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=4516A6F7-5D44-482B-9DBD-869B4A90159C&displaylang=en).
Unreal!! -- They are basically trying to force ppl to IE7!!!

What's wrong with IE 7? It's better than IE 6. Though it's crap compared to Firefox or Opera.
They have alot of bugs to work out still for ie7, and you would be exposing yourself to security issues, and faulty ie.

I went to that link, and downloaded the IE tool to disable the automatic update from my IE6 to IE7, but it asks me in what folder I want to install the tool kit, so I haven't done it, 'cause I am as lost with this question, as Adam and Eve when they were searching for their Mom... Do you know anything about this, did it ask you the same... (I'm no computer expert)...

You want to update to IE 7. Just don't use it, that's all.

Awww.... I downloaded IE 7 yesterday afternoon. It installed without problem and thus far, it's fine - seems to do everything I know how to do. I've not tried any others since I got this new computer, and my old one just didn't like other browsers. Must have been that ancient AMD 300 processor. Oh well.

This seems only to apply if you're stupid enough to acquire viruses, in which case you deserve whatever you get on the Internet.
