I like the fact that they camoflaged their vehichles with pot plants, or at least that's what they said. Maybe they just wanted to transport them back to base.

Interesting - I got the impression the 'bad guys' were using the pot plants to camoflage their vehicles as the thermal detectors were unable to "see" through the foilage. Reminds me of encountering huge pot fields in Vietnam & seeing them being burned down - while many of the folks supervising the burn were wearing gas masks.
Haha. Puts a new meaning on the 'war on drugs'.

Why did they wear the gas masks???
Talk about a SHOTGUN!!! Burning down tons of pot plants-- i'd be sniffing and inhaling like it was my job LMAO:lolhit:
That surplus military vehicle would bring top dollar.
If they are having trouble burning the pot forests, I know a few people that they could take in there, that would have it completely burned up in a short time.

Apparently the Taliban discovered the trick first, using the plants as cover against the thermal imaging of the Canadians. As in all wars, however, if something works both sides adopt it.

"A couple of brown plants on the edges of some of those (forests) did catch on fire. But a section of soldiers that was downwind from that had some ill effects and decided that was probably not the right course of action," Hiller said dryly.I guess the military is one of the few places where throwing down your weapons, listening to music and discussing philosophy is considered an "ill-effect" :)
