Awww. I almost feel bad for you, but living in snow country is your choice. Get your snow tires mounted, snow shovel, ice scraper, winter coats, boots, lock de-icer, gloves, mittens, hats, ear muffs, change the anti-freeze in the radiator, put up the storm windows, put de-icing fluid in the windshield washer tank, buy some candles (for the inevitible power outages), get some firewood delivered, hide extra batteries for the little radio, stock up on those oh-so-necessary accessories that one always seems to need when snowed in ... have I forgotten anything?
Meanwhile, here in Atlanta, Georgia, if there's a freeze, the highways are shut down, the schools close and everybody does the sensible thing & stays home until the sun comes out again, at worst, the next day.

Here in LA, if we see a flake of snow everyone panics, and starts running into each other. The freeways go into total gridlock.
Wait, thats a normal day here. You should see what happens when it rains

If the snow was anything like here, it was mere flurries. Yes there were flakes, but not piling up deeply on the ground.
My flowers are still blooming.
Very light rain.
Shorts and shortsleeve weather.
72 degrees in the shade. Cool spell upon us.

I love snow.
Freezing rain, now that's another story.
Last time we had a bad batch of freezing rain, we lost dozens of prized trees in our city, and there were many many car wrecks.
