Just wondering if anyone caught the performance at halftime of the Saints-Falocons game. The unlikely duo of U2 and Green Day performed....

It started off with Green Day and U2's "The Edge" playing Green Day's hit "Wake me up when september ends"...

Then Bono hit the stage and joined to sing a duet with Billie Joe Armstrong of the Skids song "The Saints are Coming"

The performance ended with U2 and Greenday playing "Beautiful Day"...

It was a good performance...

question: Why does Billie Joe Armstrong look like a male prostitute in this picture? bad pic LOL.

Interesting side note: "The Edge" has taken a strong role in rebuilding New Orleans.. He is one of the founding members of Music Rising - a charity launched to replace the instruments of more than 2000 musicians which were lost in the flooding.... good to see

Sorry to be so late responding.

I saw this performance, and enjoyed it thoroughly.
The played and sang live, which is more than I can say for most of the arena-friendly 'artists' out there.

I thought Greenday and U2's set killed.
