That's hilarious!!

I sure do hope that all Republicans die, so that this nation and the world can do a 180. Then we'll have socialized medicine. And electric flying cars. And Cuban cigars by the score. And all oil-rich Americans can give their considerable riches to the descendents of victims of Civil War-era slavery. And the glass ceiling will shatter, and women will not only conquer the Government Service, they will become captains of industry in the real market place. And they will geld and emasculate all men. Males will be all apologies, and will willingly relinquish their unholy rein of terror and domination on this polluted, fragile earth.

Meek, servile men will be pitted against other meek servile men in the sandy, gritty Arena of Death and Suffering.

Then this will finally be the PLANET OF BARE CHESTED AMAZON WOMEN!!!

Thank you, Freethinker.
This is really good, visionary stuff, sir.
I look forward to it.

Sounds good so far.

Well, not ALL Republicans.

Many of that ilk are simply dimwitted little twits who go along with the status quo because the --"Let's wave the flag fer the good 'ol Yew Ess uv Aye, by gawd, an worship Juuheeezus and kil all them furrin evildoers!!-- mantra of the RightWing is irresistable to their tiny intellects and serves to enforce their cherished prejudices of themselves as "the bestest" people on the planet.

Those shouln't die. Rank stupidity is their only shortcoming. But now, all the Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity/Michael Savage/Ann Coulter breed of Republicans........yeah. I will join you in wishing them into non-existence.

And all oil-rich Americans can give their considerable riches to the descendents of victims of Civil War-era slavery.

A pleasant idea indeed.

And the glass ceiling will shatter, ......

Count me for it 100%.

Males will ........willingly relinquish their unholy rein of terror and domination on this polluted, fragile earth.

The best you left for last. The most pleasant thought of all.

Thank you, Freethinker.
This is really good, visionary stuff, sir.

Yes!!......it IS "visionary", alright.

They're all nothing but "visions" that somehow took form in your mind.

Well, it's only worth a damn if I am allowed to be kept alive as the one lone male reproductive specimen. I would be pampered on velvet pillows, and fed figs. Used strictly for breeding experiments, I would become fat and complacent. Bored even, in spite of the never-ended pageant of nubile, ovulating female Goddesses paraded before me.

In short order I would begin making unrealistic demands, and turning my naked, bare-chested Amazon zookeepers against each others. Using my keen intellect and my mastery of human psychology, I would connive my way into the bedroom of the Queen Amazon Dominatrix. After a month or two of my superior psycho-sociological manipulation, the ruling Governess would take me as her King. Growing corpulent and listless on my omelets and bagels, she would eventually become my willing slave.

And in ten years or less, we would all be driving powerful Detroit automobiles with V8 engines, and watching football & eating hot wings, consuming gasoline like its going out of style, happily melting the ice caps, and enjoying ice cold beers while children in the sub-Saharan Africa died of AIDS.

Life is indeed good.

I know it was tongue-in-cheek..........but that DOES epitomize the mindset of a vast segment of the *Joe Sixpack* Rightwing faction in America----- "Aww, fuck it!.....me havin a 425 HP engine in my Chevelle isn't melting anything way up there where the icecaps are, and them blacks in Afriker are always having something wrong with 'em and needin money for somethin'........gimme another beer and get them steaks a goin'!!"

It's not tongue-in-cheek or even particularly clever. It's an exaggeration of the right's views coupled with funny pictures.

The only difference between Tom Tomorrow and an angry eighth grader is that he's a pretty good illustrator.

Yikes.
Please don't tell me you don't eat steaks or drink beer, friend Freethinker.
No wonder you're so damned angry all the time.

(Well, you may be a vegan and/or a non-drinker, but I'll give you props for one thing; at least you know your cars: The Chevy 396 small block made its debut in 1965, and was a standout performer (though intially in Corvette trim), pumping out 425 hp. A 375-horse version made it into a select few '65 Chevelle's (Z-16s), and by '66 the SS396 package was a big seller in the Chevelle’s line. A larger, 427-inch big-block added more heat to the 'Corvette that year, paving the way for the legendary L88 the following few years. The big-block eventually grew to 454 cubic inches, and by 1970 cranked out 450 hp in the LS6 edition. Many of these engines have indeed found their way under the hoods of Chevelles.)

I am not a vegan, and I drink beer like its going out of style. The primary reference was to the fact that ignorant people (Rush Limbaugh must be their god) cannot imagine that what they (along with the rest of mankind) are doing will have an adverse effect on the planet.

And I was a SERIOUS gearhead back in the 70's. I know the Chevy engines from that era pretty well. My best friend had a 375-horse SS396 Chevelle.....he added a bigger double pumper Holley up top, so it was probably a bit over 375 horse.

It's not tongue-in-cheek or even particularly clever.I'd call it a kind of gallows humor. Sometimes you have to laugh at what you cannot change. It's an exaggeration of the right's views coupled with funny pictures.Maybe an exaggeration of your views, but the only one I haven't heard expressed nearly verbatim is the 'looks of gratitude on the survivor's faces' line.

True.

But then, any human being who is NOT bitter over what is this nation is devolving into under ConservaFascist rule is too stupid and/or too unaware to recognize what is taking place.

I think he's extremely bitter.Having slept on the question, I think 'heartbroken' might be a better word. It's a mistake to assume he's nuts or doesn't love his country -- the opposite is far more likely true.

This one is a brilliant commentary on how different people can have very different views of what the U.S. is doing........but it would have IMO been far more illustrative to have named them *Rational, Critically-thinking Gus* and *Brainwashed Dupe Pete* ....

No. Not at all.

But collectively, the Christian Right in this country is decidely totalitarian in outlook.

"Now to the root of the matter. The great unmentionable evil at the center of American culture is monotheism. From a barbaric
Bronze Age text known as the Old Testament, three anti-human religions have evolved---Judaism,Christianity and Islam. These are
the sky-god religions. They are, literally, patriarchal; God is the omnipotent father --- hence the loathing of women for 2000 years in
those countries afflicted by the sky-god and his earthly male delegates. The sky-god is a jealous god, of course. He requires
total obedience from everyone on Earth, as he is in place not just for one tribe, but for all creation. Those who would reject him
must be converted or killed for their own good. Ultimately, totalitarianism is the only sort of politics that can
truly serve the sky-god's purpose. Any movement of a liberal nature endangers his authority and that of his delegates on earth.
One God, one King, one master in the factory, one father-leader in the family at home."______Gore Vidal

I for one would prefer a *theft* of that sort to the massive ongoing theft that takes the form of robbing the American taxpayers of half a trillion dollars per year in order to hand it over to the military/Industrial complex.

That doesn't change what you are advocating as morally bankrupt and abhorrent.
