Last week, Scummy was supposed to be at a "meditation retreat" of some kind.....I'm having trouble picturing that myself, but I guess even dumpster divers need to learn those skills.

Anywho, sure hope the Colts go all the way this year.

Jaxwuzhere

Thanks, Mary. The Colts need to go all the way to fully earn their stature...

I adopted the Colts after Tony Dungy came over from Tampa Bay. Until then, I couldn't stand them and they really were an entirely different team under the old coaches. A former Colts player I used to hang out with on occasion left the team on hostile terms under the old coach, and won a ring the next season. That was probably one of my best Super Bowl parties to date, and I was thrilled to cheer him on. But like I said, they're a completely different team now and one I'm proud to claim.

Dallas is my home team. Always has been and always will be, and that's why I can't stand to watch what Jerry Jones has done with them. Bringing T.O. into the fold was one of the worst abominations he's pulled yet, right after the firing of Tom Landry. Because of that, when T.O. is on the field, I'll root for whomever they're playing. If I heard tomorrow that Jones was eaten by an escalator, I'd go buy a bottle of Moet and celebrate.

Yeah, I kinda wondered about the T.O. move myself. He's not a favorite of mine.

I like the Colts because of Peyton. I know it's not the greatest reason to follow a team, but he "seems" like a nice guy and is a pretty good player.

Here's to a great season!

Harley decided late last year at this time to introduce a
6 speed. They choose the *Superglide, since it's THE oldest in their
Dyna lineup. This year the dyna is their flagship CVO model,
along with their Springer,an '07 model.
Harley's are solid bikes, but offer little in the way of
performance,and cost TOO much.
Their engines are old-fashioned and can't generate much
horsepower,as witnessed by their low compression ratio's and
inability to Rev.Their long stroker mechanics don't allow for
mush beside vibration and with their 2 valves per cylinder and
single pin crankshaft,a meaty and robust sound.
The V-rod,on the other hand is a true performer.
They finally ironed out some of the squirrely handling problems.

* Introduced as a 1971 FX 1200.

Thanks for the history. If I wanted performance, I would have bought one that ran on rice, but the smell of rotten rice fermenting in the garage didn't sit too well with me. Besides, something about the vibrations seems to attract nice girls. All you attract with rice are flies.

It's really comforting to know, most Metric not only
are faster and brake better than a Harley, but they also
cost far less and are basically trouble free.
Evo's { the 80 c.i. harleys of the 90's} were leakers.
Always an oil spot in the placed parked.
That's a true fact.
I've yet to smell any rice.
Hay,dat Rice milk is pretty good stuff.

Yeah, when I rode, we all knew to let the Harleys ride in back... so when the nuts & bolts started flying off, wouldn't hit anybody in the pack. You could always tell which 'mama' was on the Harley... by the oil streak down the back of her shirt.

Heh, heh, heh... still like the way they look though. And nothing else has that deep-throated sound when it revs up.

You should try to learn on it anyway. What size is it? I think you'd be surprised at how much you wouldn't want to go so fast on a bike. I get the "lead foot syndrome" in my truck, but not on my bike. Something about not having that metal enclosure around you makes you think twice about what you're doing.

Harley riders are also very close-minded and cliquey.
Ask Smarty what I tink bout Dem Cliques.
In fact, ask Kelly If I wanna E-Mail Her.
Bwa Haa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

I have to admit, rice does have its place. On a plate at mealtime. Try sticking your ricemilk out in the garage for a week and tell me what it smells like.
Hey, a little oil never hurt anyone. I can remember the day when the toolkit consisted of a hammer, crescent wrench, and 4 quarts of oil.
I dont mind cliques. At least mine isnt full of a bunch of cupcakes in matching designer leathers

One good thing about Harley vs Honda guys... when they're in a bar with a bunch of truckers, they all consider themselves BIKERS. Brand names don't really matter when it's them vs. Bubbas.

1100 is quite a bit bigger than my 750. I don't need that much power yet, and 750 is pretty good. I understand about just being a passenger. I like to ride on back when I want to drink and raise hell some. Then I can just be strapped on taken home!
