My dear I love you and you are such a total hottie but come on. Cold what is is there today 50? Texas has no real winter only a weekend in Feb when it gets below 55......

-Feetie

It got to zero last night and I finally had to wear a coat!!!

Feetie, sweetie.....I don't live in Texas anymore. I've lived in Arkansas for 14 years and it gets cold here. Our high was below freezing yesterday and I drove to work in 8 degree weather this morning. It's now a warm 14 degrees at 9:00 a.m.

My toes are cold, need some massaging......

OK....noticed something last night as I was watching the movie "The Fantastic Four" and want to see if you guys knew this. Do y'all remember the couple over on Yahoo boards that were calling themselves Reid and Suzanne Richards? They acted as tho they were newlyweds and oh so in love...blah blah blah. Well, I didn't know it at the time because I was never really in to cartoon characters, and I was never too sure if they were actually real people just disguising themselves or if it was one person playing (like alot of ppl did over there). Well two of the characters on the movie were Reid Richards and I'm not sure of the girls last name but her first name was Suzanne and they did start to date at the end of the movie. Just wondering if anyone else picked up on that while it was going on?? Anyone??

I remember the couple and the last things I saw posted were from him and he was mad as hell at the government, I think, saying they had taken his love away from him. I only saw a few posts from him about it, but it was curious, to say the least.

Smarty, it's here in the land of sunshine. It's 63 degrees outside, and supposed to warm up to the low 80's. And we have 10 foot surf. Life cant get any better than that

I'm loading Ruby up and coming your way, Ride!

It is starting to get downright cold around here. Today it is supposed to be in the teens or low twenties. That means it is time to start thinking of making the annual winter trek to southern Florida where I wear shorts and sandals and lounge around the pool or at the beach all day.

Once New Year's comes I'm outta here.

They were in the same bunch as the T&P group, and I think Kelly or Ty mentioned that it was "Our Special Place" or something like that. Their "love" was bordering on disgusting at times, but I thought they were a real couple and thought how nice for them to have found each other. If nothing else, they were entertaining. That's all I remember.

Besides, I liked the 'romance' between zaza and zena (or was it gaga and zero?) better. Something about a lezzie online relationship held my interest better.

As soon as my wife and I retired we bought a place on the ocean. We try to go down for a month or so beginning in October and then from January to whenever Easter is. She is always ready to return to the kids and grandkids before I am. I figure if the kids want to see me airplanes fly both ways.

The worst part is taking down all the Christmas decorations before we leave. One year we left them up and simply took off for Florida. It was really depressing taking down the tree and putting away all the wreaths and Santas and such in May.

I dont know when I wash in cold water my clothes keep longer and look better. I just toss them in the dryer for a quick 5 minute wrinkle release and then hang them in my laundry room.

Always keeps my clothes looking nice and helps to prevent shrinkage.

I bet it's great to wake up in the morning and take a nice walk along the beach! Last time I was there, it was on biz, but we (about 8 of us) got stranded and couldn't get on a flight back home (was working for an airline). It was over a Thanksgiving weekend. So the big bosses decided they'd be nice to us and sent us on a 12-hr cruise to the Bahamas. Well, it was that same year we had MONSOONS in the Atlantic and in fact, it even washed one pretty good size ship up on somebody's backyard around where you live!

Roughest cruise EVER. 750 people were sick if you walked out on the deck, it looked like pea soup. And speaking of that, we dragged ourselves into the dining room for Thanksgiving buffet and there on the salad bar was, urp, guacamole. Worst part was... we got to the island and they let us get off for 3 hrs... then we had to get back on the damn ship and go back across those rough waters to Miami. Bought me a puke green sweatshirt while I was ashore to remind me of that trip.

is the WORST!! On that cruise from hell, we had one guy who used to work on the Love Boat ship. He was British and kept saying, "Go to the center of the ship, mates. It's steadier there!" Before it was over, he was puking over the side with the rest of us and saying, "There's NO PLACE to go." I woulda paid big bucks for a helicopter.

thinkin they gonna sell me,some half ass weed.
I got into a big hassle and shoving match. We had to watch out later
that Nite, when the Big Bar we went, had a bunch more Natives, givin me
the eye,when the place closed.
I guess I made it back to the Ship.Hell,I was a Track & Field man
in High School.

Ok I'm going to rant a little bit. This girl that just had a baby brought her baby in the other day in a summer outfit. No blanket, no coat nothing. It's winter time people! It's 30 degrees! What really got me what that the mother herself was in jeans and a coat but yet had a summer outfit on a 7lb baby.

Some people don't have a whole lot of common sense

Never seen a jellyfish down there, Foolsworth and I spend almost every day on the beach.

jellyfish were all over the beach.I guess, usually after some
colder and rougher weather. So,it wasn't mush fun goin swimmin
when those Jellyfish were just lazy floatin in the water.
Kids would find a stick and pop the J'fish that were beached.
I remember it also rained a lot around 4'oclock.Usually just a sprinkle.
But it did so often,as to seem weird.
Florida was surreal to me,as a pre-teen in the winter.
It felt kinda weird, goin out to dinner,in December in shorts.
All those Hawaiian type decorations, lanters,on the restaurants
with the Blue Coral and sea shells, everywhere.
