Yeah, Kel... an inch of ice is definitely enough to shut us down. The storm they're forecasting to hit tonight will be a weird one because it's 80 degrees outside now. Whatever falls won't last long, but they're saying wind chills around 13 degrees and that's COOOOOOOOLD!!

When I checked the weather for us yesterday online it said we were going to get snow and ice. Now it just says wind and cloudy and temps close to 40. So I don't know what we are gonna get. I do know we got quite a pour down this morning on my way to work but its still 60 out.

Have either of you ever lived in Texas in the winter during one of our "winter storms"?? I'm thinking probably not. You have to keep in mind that we hardly ever get snow. It's usually ice and even those that are "used to it" have a difficult time driving on ice. Yesterday was a bit unusual in that we were actually getting snow!! :woohoo: Our office closed us down because they didn't want "all those idiots" on the streets at the same time, especially since the worst of it was expected late in the afternoon. I got home about 12:30 and watched HUGE snow flakes coming down all afternoon. It finally quit and by 7:30 when I went out to get something for dinner....the roads were clear and there were NO CARS on the roads....it looked like a ghost town.....I shoulda gone shopping or something since all the stores would have been empty but I didn't....grrrrrr :mad:

All is well today tho....roads clear and the sun is shining....suppose to be around 50 today :hula:

and yesterday was National Meth Awareness Day....not like i was going to take speed then either :lolhit:
